FC St. Pauli lost 2-0 at Mainz 05 on Saturday afternoon. The Boys in Brown gave as good as they got and had the better chances, only for substitute Jae-sung Lee and a late Paul Nebel strike to win it for the home side.

A run of three games without defeat came to an end on Sunday evening when the Boys in Brown lost 2-0 at Leipzig. The Saxony outfit proved extremely effective in the first half, taking a two-goal lead with their only attempts on goal through Benjamin Šeško and Xavi Simons. A second-half improvement boosted by a red card for Leipzig's Willi Orban was not enough to ward off the defeat.

FC St. Pauli failed to land their third consecutive win on Saturday afternoon after being held to a 1-1 draw by FC Augsburg. The Boys in Brown took a deserved lead when Noahkai Banks put through his own goal after 17 minutes and looked set for victory thanks to a strong defensive performance, only for Mert Kömür to level the scores with Augsburg's second attempt on goal eight minutes before the end of regulation time.
