BOYS IN BROWN TO HOST HOLDERS DORTMUND IN LAST 16 OF CUP

The draw for the Round of 16 in the DFB Cup took place on Sunday evening and the Boys in Brown, who progressed with a 3-2 extra-time win at Dynamo Dresden in Round 2, have been handed a home tie against Borussia Dortmund to the Millerntor. The cup holders went through with a 2-0 defeat of FC Ingolstadt during the week.

All Round of 16 matches will be played on Tuesday, 18 January, or Wednesday, 19 January. The exact kick-off times will be announced by the German Football Association (DFB) in due course.

The two clubs last met in the DFB Cup in the 2014/15 season, with Dortmund winning 3-0 at the Millerntor in late October 2014.

REACTION TO THE DRAW

Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: "We're obviously delighted to have a home game against incredibly attractive opponents. That said, Borussia Dortmund are one of the toughest draws you can get."

Head coach Timo Schultz: "I remember my last game against Dortmund very well. I was assistant coach to Thomas Meggle when we lost 3-0 in the DFB Cup second round on 28 October 2014. The only member of our current squad to play that day is our captain, Philipp Ziereis. I'm looking forward to getting revenge now, that's for sure (he grins)."
