"Christian approached us saying he wished to take up the chance available to him in Rotterdam," said director of sport Andreas Bornemann. "He had another year of his contract left to run but there seemed to be no prospect of him extending it. So after giving it due consideration and holding constructive talks with Feyenoord, we were able to come up with a good solution for all sides."

During his spell at the club Conteh came through the ranks of the Under-19s (20 appearances, 8 goals, 3 assists) and the Under-23s (26 appearances, 1 goal, 3 assists) before signing professional terms in the season just ended, making nine appearances (2 goals, 1 assist) in the first team.
