Matanovic pens deal with Frankfurt but will stay on loan for next two years
Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have signed St. Pauli striker Igor Matanovic just before the end of the transfer period. The homegrown talent will remain with the Boys in Brown on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season, however, under the terms of an agreement reached with the player by the two clubs. No further details of the deal will be disclosed.

Boys in Brown sign centre-back Marcel Beifus
FC St. Pauli have strengthened their squad with the addition of central defender Marcel Beifus from Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose any details of the transfer arrangements.

BURGSTALLER BRACE OFFERS LATE RELIEF AGAINST LEADERS REGENSBURG
FC St. Pauli beat table-topping Jahn Regensburg 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Boys in Brown dictated the proceedings for 90 minutes but squandered a string of chances either side of half-time until Guido Burgstaller finally broke the deadlock on 74. The Austrian striker then put the result beyond all doubt two minutes from the end.

PAQARADA: "IF I'VE GOT SO MUCH SPACE, WHY NOT JUST HIT IT?"
Just over six months after Daniel-Kofi Kyereh was nominated for the January Goal of the Month award, Leart Paqarada became the next St. Pauli player to make the shortlist, this time for the July edition. His strike in the 3-0 home win over Holstein Kiel was a belter, a pinpoint effort from 25 metres that arrowed into the top-right corner of the goal. Paqarada knows he faces stiff competition from the other four candidates, but with the support of the fans believes he is in with a chance of winning.
