Smith muscle injury not structural
In Saturday’s game against Bayern Munich defender Eric Smith was forced off by a knock just before the end. Subsequent medical examinations have revealed that while the 27-year-old Sweden international has muscle problems he has not suffered a serious structural injury.

FC St. Pauli lost narrowly 0-1 (0-1) to FC Bayern Munich at home on Saturday. In front of a sell-out crowd at the Millerntor, the Boys in Brown held the visitors at bay with good defensive work and great passion, but a wonder goal from Jamal Musiala mid-way through the first half decided the game in the record champions’ favour.

RIGHT BALANCE BRINGS 2-0 WIN AT HOFFENHEIM
FC St. Pauli produced a solid defensive performance to secure their second win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Hoffenheim by two goals to nil. Oladapo Afolayan gave his side a first-half lead before substitute Andreas Albers put the game to bed in time added on.
